Lasik-Result-last

Lasik commonly referred to as Laser eye surgery or laser vision correction, is a type of surgery for the correction of myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism. Lasik surgery is initiated to reshape the eye’s cornea for a better visual acuity. There are many hospitals that initiate LASIK surgery but few are really good. The surgery goes like this.

The surgeon will use a microkeratome to create a thin, circular flap in the cornea. The surgeon will then to remove some corneal tissue using an excimer laser, holding back the hinged flap. For myopic people, the doctors generally have to flatten the cornea and with far-sighted people, a steeper cornea is desired. LASIK surgery can also act towards astigmatism. The flat is laid back in place once the LASIK reshapes the cornea. Then cornea heals itself naturally.

Studies have proved that LASIK surgeries have a huge success rate and most patients who have opted for LASIK are happy and satisfied with its results. Complications like a complete loss of vision are extremely rare and many side effects or other complications can be solved by surgery after Lasik surgery. This is a type of surgery which can be done more than one time. But like any other surgery, there are some risk and complications. Not everyone is suitable for this surgery; things like large pupils, unstable vision, dry eyes, and age factor can cause a restriction for LASIK surgery.

Patients tend to feel some minor discomfort in the initial days which is sure to go away with time. One can experience hazy vision or glare. But with time it will automatically go. Amount of time that the patient takes varies from each patient to patient. But around twenty days is required to get the right result. Complications like ghost image or double vision can also be seen in some cases. One can also experience blurred vision, which has to be cured by another surgery. One might also see a decrease in tear production which will bring the blurred vision. Not everyone will get the ultimate result, in some cases contact lens or eyewear might be required. One might get eye infection after the surgery which can be cured with antibiotics.
